Warlley Alves has been on a weird streak. He wins, loses, wins, loses. So does that mean he wins this one since he lost the last fight? Honestly, I expect him to come ready to fight in this one. Alves has two paces, and I expect him to put a show on for the fans in Brazil. If Alves fights as he did against Mounir Lazeez, he will really hurt Dalby in this fight.
Alves is going to really have to mix up his wrestling with his striking. Dalby isn’t a very strong wrestler and will rely on keeping his distance and using his leg kicks to his advantage. Warlley is a very good all-around fighter. He has strong Jitsu Ju, decent wrestling, and decent striking. So with this fight, we will need Alves to keep this fight at his pace and manage his gas tank. He tends to gas out at times.
This fight will be determined by who is the smarter fighter in the Octagon. Both of these fighters have their style that they want to fight at. It will be determined which fighter makes the least mistakes. If Warlley can land a takedown, I don’t see Dalby getting up from it. Dalby's takedown defense hasn’t been the greatest in his career. He is also 38 years old and on the last leg of his career. So this fight is honestly big for both fighters. If Alves is to lose this fight, he is in jeopardy of losing his job. So I honestly feel Warlley Alves will come out and try to prove a statement in this fight. He needs this win pretty badly, and if his streak continues, it’s the perfect time for a win. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Alves by KO/TKO. If you want to sprinkle something on that.
