Boxing Parlay Picks for Saturday

It's no proverbial secret that inside the wild, wacky realm of professional boxing, there are the obvious frontrunners promoters want to push, and do so with unapologetically grand conviction to add insult to injury. From the bombastic likes of one week prior’s Artur Beterbiev scoring his 19th consecutive stoppage dub over Anthony Yarde, to the surprise of nobody, to the revolving saga of boxing royalty Nico Ali Walsh (grandson of Muhammad Ali) getting absolute gutter trash for the opposition, to record pad until the time is right for a mammoth payday. The sport that houses the sweet science is no stranger to grotesque mismatches and lopsided, pointless all-around affairs.

That is why this coming Saturday’s bout order consisting of Skye Nicolson, Alycia Baumgardner, and Amanda Serrano should not exactly come as a shock to the fact that the trio is all being fed various sacrificial lambs from across the pond to build for bigger and better things down the stretch for all their careers. While some are going to be objectively more competitive(at least on paper) the fact of the matter is that the A-sides of each bout should roll and roll rather decisively. While they can bill the Serrano fight against Erika Cruz as “The Pride of Puerto Rico versus the best Mexico has to offer” all they want ahead of the scheduled festivities, fans paying even a monochrome of attention know that this contest is merely a means to an end for the showdown between Serrano and Baumgardner to well and truly come to fruition if everything goes according to plan.

While not having the same championship pedigree, Nicolsons' fight against Tania Alvarez for the WBC Mickeymouse “Silver Female Featherweight” Title is borderline an open and shut case already for Skye to win in a fairly emphatic fashion against a lesser opponent only being brought in to lose. I wish there were a spot here that screamed value, such as last week's over 5.5 winning proposition with Beterbiev, but there isn’t, suffice to say. Instead look to parlay Amanda Serrano and Skye Nicholson’s money lines with the over 7.5 rounds of the Baumgardner clash, as our Puerto Rican Power Puncher is live for a KO throughout the scheduled distance. I do not have the strongest read regarding if Skye will coast to a decision in the same fashion Alycia most certainly will due to the stylistic derivability of it all.
