The Colorado Buffaloes are essentially America's team. Deion Sanders has made Colorado fun again. He's also made them a college football playoff contender in his first year with Buffalo. Yes, I said it. Over 45 transfers later, Colorado is 2-0, with back-to-back wins against Power-five teams, including TCU and Nebraska. With the success, Deion's son, Shedeur Sanders, has jumped up the Heisman rankings. The former Jackson State quarterback has thrown for over 900 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions. In Week 3, Colorado will welcome Colorado State to Folsom Field. This game should be easier than its games against TCU and Nebraska earlier this season.

Colorado State vs. Colorado Prediction
Colorado has averaged over 500 yards per game through the first two weeks. It's sensational for any team to put up those numbers in back-to-back weeks against quality teams. However, Colorado has 49 transfers on the squad. This type of cohesion is rare. Yet, nobody is surprised that it's Deion Sanders' team. He also instills confidence in his players, and it's shown on the field. Colorado believes in itself. They're mostly disciplined but still show emotion and toughness. The offense has earned just 56.5 yards on the ground. Most of the yardage is coming in the air. Sometimes, Shedeur Sanders is too patient in the pocket. Because of that, he's taken over ten sacks in two games. But ultimately, he's got a bunch of playmakers, including Travis Hunter, who can make plays down the field and bail out a poor offensive line. On the other hand, Colorado has allowed 242 yards on the ground per game. In retrospect, Colorado just faced a Nebraska team with a quarterback that is much better at running than throwing. Still, the Buffaloes need to fix that run defense. Luckily, Colorado State only rushed for 37 yards in their one game against Washington State earlier this year. The Rams aren't significant threats in the run game. That plays into the Buffaloes' favor. In that game, the Rams lost 50-24, allowing 556 yards of offense. The Rams weren't penalized much. But that was the only bit of good. It's currently unclear if Clay Millen will start at quarterback. He was injured in last week's game. Once he left, Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, the backup, performed better. He went 13-for-20 with two touchdowns and an interception. So, therefore, I wouldn't be shocked if Fowler-Nicolosi plays in this game. The sportsbooks finally adjusted to Colorado. They're heavy favorites, so it's difficult to bet on the spread with Colorado. However, the over, at 59, is appealing. Washington State just added 50 against Colorado State, and the Rams still scored 24 on Washington State. Last weekend, Washington State held Wisconsin to fewer points. Therefore, I'll take the Over 59 in this one.
