Florida State vs. Clemson Prediction
Florida State leads the matchup 20-15 all-time, but the Tigers have won eight straight seasons.
Florida State enters play ranked fourth in the nation, representing a record of 3-0. The Noles knocked off a good LSU team in Week 1 and followed that up with wins over Southern Miss and Boston College.
Jordan Travis has led the way for the Seminoles. Travis has thrown for 729 yards, eight touchdowns, and just one interception. Travis is seen as a serious Heisman candidate as he currently has the fifth-best odds (+1500).
Running back Trey Benson has led the way on the ground game, rushing for 164 yards and four touchdowns.
The Seminoles have two of the best wide receivers in all of college football, both of whom are expected to be selected in the first round in the 2024 NFL draft in Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman.
Wilson has led the team in receiving yards (209), while Coleman leads the team in receptions (12) and touchdowns (4).
The defense for the Noles has impressed thus far. Jared Verse will be a top ten pick when the NFL draft rolls around, as he is the most talented player on this Noles's defense.
Clemson enters play with a record of 2-1 on the young season.
The Tigers have owned the ACC, winning the conference seven of the last eight years, including in 2022.
Clemson opened the season with a disappointing loss to the Duke Blue Devils. Clemson has bounced back in the last two weeks with a pair of wins over Charleston Southern and Florida Atlantic.
Cade Klubnick leads this Tigers offense. Klubncik impressed in limited time as a freshman. Klubnick has thrown for 693 yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Will Shipley leads this Clemson backfield. Shipley has rushed for 225 yards paired with one receiving touchdown. Running back Phil Mafa leads the Tigers with three rushing touchdowns.
Beaux Collins and Antino Williams lead the Tigers receiving core. Collins ranks first on the team in receiving yards (225), while Williams leads the team in receiving touchdowns (3).
This is a good defense that is led by two of the best linebackers in college football. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Barret Carter have combined for 32 tackles in the first three weeks. Trotter Jr. and Carter will both be playing on Sundays this time next year.

The Noles have too many playmakers for the Tigers to match up with in the secondary. Wilson Jr. and Coleman will have their way against the Tigers' secondary.
Jordan Travis is a veteran quarterback who will not be bothered by the environment at Clemson.
Clemson is a good team, but they are being overvalued here at home. They simply do not have enough talent to match up with this Florida State team.
