Week 11 in college football will send the No. 8 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide on the road to play the Kentucky Wildcats.
After winning five straight games to start the season 5-0, Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops has seen his team regress to the mean. Kentucky lost three straight to top-tier SEC opponents, including Georgia, Missouri, and Tennessee. After this gauntlet, Kentucky went on the road to Starkville, Mississippi and beat the Bulldogs 24-3 this past weekend to get back in the win column.
Alabama has seemingly turned the corner on their season after a home loss to Texas and nearly collapsing on the road against USF back in Week 3. The Crimson Tide are now 8-1, ranked 18th in opponent points allowed per game, holding its last three opponents to two combined rushing touchdowns. Its secondary is vulnerable, but as we'll learn, Kentucky's offense doesn't have much firepower in its passing attack, which bodes well for head coach Nick Saban, quarterback Jalen Milroe, and the rest of Alabama's personnel next Saturday.

Alabama vs. Kentucky Prediction
It's been all Alabama in recent head to head matchups against Kentucky, which shouldn't be surprising. The Crimson Tide have established a dynasty over the past two decades under Saban, recruiting the best prospects in the country and developing them into NFL-caliber talent. Despite the talent discrepancy, both teams have been good ATS, with Alabama entering Saturday 6-3 ATS, compared to 5-4 ATS for Kentucky.
Kentucky's QB1, Devin Leary, is dealing with an eye injury, which won't help an already underwhelming Wildcats passing attack. Kentucky ranks outside the top-50 in FBS for points per game (30.0) and rely heavily on running back Re'Mahn Davis to move the football and score touchdowns. Unfortunately, Alabama specializes in neutralizing opposing run games. The Crimson Tide have allowed a paltry 3.5 yards per attempt this season, only surrendering six total rushing touchdowns through nine games.
If Kentucky wants any chance of winning, or at least covering +10.5 at home against Milroe and the rest of Alabama's balanced offense, they will need to bring pressure, while containing the dual-threat signal caller inside the pocket. We watched Milroe continuously thrash LSU's porous run defense last week to the tune of four rushing touchdowns on 20 carries for 155 yards. If even half of this occurs in Lexington on Saturday night, the game could be over by halftime.
Let's not complicate betting on this game and lay the -10.5 ATS with Alabama. Missouri marched into Lexington in prime time and wound up beating Kentucky 38-21 a couple of weeks ago, with a one-dimensional, run-centric Tennessee offense managing a six point win at Kentucky's home field. Milroe and Jase McClellan should combine for 150-200 rushing yards and two or three touchdowns on the ground, while executing enough explosives in the passing attack to put this game out of reach early on the road in Week 11.
