Drew Sample (+650)
I'm opening up here with Sample simply because of the CLV we're likely to get, if and when, the Bengals starting tight end CJ Uzomah is declared out for the game. Uzomah has had a strong season but he suffered an MCL sprain in the AFC Championship game. He was carted off the field in tears and I just don't see how he will be able to suit up just two weeks after that. After he left the game Sample ran 30 routes on 44 Joe Burrow dropbacks. Now the Rams aren't particularly a plus-matchup for the tight end position but we did just see George Kittle score in the NFC Championship game against them. He was a second-round pick in 2019 so the Bengals believe in his talent. Uzomah is listed as questionable and is priced at +230. If he is declared out Sample's odds will jump to around that same +250 range. Therefore this is a great bet to make now.
Cam Akers (+125)
If you're looking for one player to bet to score at plus money it's Cam Akers and his odds are already on the move. He's -110 at DraftKings and -120 at Fanduel respectively but at BetMGM and Bet365 you can snag him at + money. We all love a good story. How about this kid returning from a torn Achilles just last summer to come back for this Rams Super Bowl run! The Bengals allow a touchdown on 22.6% of red zone carries -- worse than even the Jaguars and the Jets! That's bad "#Analysis" Akers has had a real tough time in the playoffs so far but he certainly looks good and is showing explosiveness. Van can be known as the forgotten man in the Rams offense right now. To see his odds over +300 right now at FoxBet is insane. To close out the season his odds were steadily under +200. He's been dealing with a knee injury but he like Akers re-entered the NFC Championship game after missing a few plays. He played over 90 percent of the snaps in the Divisional round. The Rams were eighth in EPA per drive and sixth in touchdowns this season. A league-high 79% of those touchdowns have been passes! Stafford has thrown at least two touchdowns in over 80 percent of his games. The Bengals' defense had its questionable moments during the regular season and ranked No. 24 in opposing Total QBR. He hasn't scored since Week 14 but we all saw the Rams take a shot down the field to Ben Skowronek where he dropped a touchdown against the 49ers last week. That was one of the few plays Jefferson was off of the field. He won't miss that opportunity if he gets it in the Super Bowl. It's likely we see Jefferson's odds settle in the +230 range before kick-off. Especially if Tyler Higbee is indeed ruled out.
