Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Prediction

The Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Chargers will clash from Sofi on Sunday afternoon for a much anticipated AFC West affair. These are two teams that improved in the off-season, and they will be battling in the toughest division in all of football. The Chargers are led by young star Justin Herbert at the QB position, while the Raiders are led by veteran gunslinger Derek Carr.

The Raiders added all-pro wideout Davante Adams in the off-season to pair with Carr. He will join Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow on this Raiders offense. The bottom line here is Carr has a lot of weapons and will look to take advantage of that this year.

Herbert enters this season with a lot of hype around his name, and for a good reason. Herbert dominated the league last year and now finds himself one of the favorites to win the MVP award. He has a lot of talented skill-position players, including Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. A lot of people think of these two teams as pure offensive teams, but the Chargers want to change that narrative on the defensive side of the football. The Chargers signed JC Jackson and traded for star Khalil Mack. This defense is all of a sudden loaded with the combo of Bosa and Mack on the edges. The Raiders will have to keep those guys away from Carr tonight if they want any chance to pull this off.

I am all over the Chargers today. I believe they blow the Raiders out of the Stadium if they play their game. When you break it down, the Chargers are the much better team, and they have pretty much every advantage you could want in this game. I like the Raider's offense and think they will put up points as the season goes along, but in a game like this, I do not think that they can keep up. The Raider's defense did not improve much in the off-season, and I see the Chargers scoring with ease today. I will back Justin Herbert and the Chargers here!
