Washington Commanders vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction
The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Washington Commanders will clash from our nation's capital on Sunday afternoon to kick off the NFL Season! The Jags come into this year hoping for much more success than they had a season ago.
Jacksonville was the laughing stock of the league, and a lot of it had to do with their former head coach Urban Meyer. Meyer drew a lot of negative attention to the team off the field, and he had little success on the field. The Jags moved on to former Super Bowl champion head coach Doug Pederson. Pederson won a super bowl with the Eagles, and he will look to bring his winning ways to Jacksonville. He will be working with former number one overall pick Trevor Lawrence who led the league last season in interceptions. Lawrence is one of the most talented QBs that has entered the league over the previous few years. The sky is the limit for him, and now, with a legit head coach, it will be fun to see how he performs.
Washington will have a new look on offense as they are led by Pederson's, former QB in Philly Carson Wentz. Wentz has had an interesting last three seasons playing for three different teams, but he will look to settle into his role in Washington as the guy. Washington has talented weapons on the offensive side of the football and a solid defense led by head coach Ron Rivera. They will look to get their season off to a hot start with a home victory today.
I am all over Washington here. Yes, I am backing Carson Wentz to kick off the season. I think this Commander's team can surprise a lot of people this year in a division that is wide open. Washington has an above-average defense, and I feel that they can limit this young Jags offense today. Jacksonville on the defensive side still has a lot of holes, and I believe you will see Washington exploit them today. Wentz has the weapons to do it, and if their offensive line holds up, I trust Wentz here. Let’s stay red hot today!
