As we approach the Week 2 slate, it's important not to overreact to one week of results. But sometimes, Week 1 shows us some glaring spots we've got to attack immediately.
I've added my three favorite Same-Game Parlays for Week 2. Like I always say, if we just hit one of these three parlays, we'll finish this article profitable. That's the ultimate goal. We just got to win one! (Although winning all three would be nice!)
NFL Week 1 Same-Game Parlay Picks
Carolina Panthers vs. New York Giants SAME GAME PARLAY Picks
3-Leg Same Game Parlay (+551) (Bet $100 to win $551)
- Saquon Barkley Over 77.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
- Christian McCaffrey Over 40.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
- D.J. Moore Over 59.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
The New York Giants defeated the Tennessee Titans last week thanks to an insane effort out of Saquan Barkley. Barkley added 164 yards rushing on just 18 carries and had a touchdown on the day as well.
The Panthers allowed 217 yards rushing to the Browns last week and struggled to make tackles throughout the day. Barkley should be able to put together a massive game of 100 yards rushing again. Meanwhile, the Panthers lost to the Browns last week. Baker Mayfield threw for 235 yards in that game but only found D.J. Moore and Christian McCaffrey four times. Look for both receivers to get in on the action more while Robbie Anderson's production regresses a bit. The Giants aren't great in coverage and already have named a couple of guys out.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars SAME GAME PARLAY Picks
3-Leg Same Game Parlay (+859) (Bet $100 to win $859)
- Jonathan Taylor Anytime Touchdown (-230)
- James Robinson Anytime Touchdown (+170)
- Michael Pittman Jr. Anytime Touchdown (+135)
After last week's game from the Colts against the Texans, I expect plenty of points in this one. The Colts had 529 yards of offense, with overtime, but gave up 20 points while only allowing 317 yards of offense.
Last week, Jonathan Taylor snuck in for a touchdown. He's usually suitable for one a game. Meanwhile, James Robinson got the goal line carries for the Jaguars and scored a touchdown of his last week. Just knowing that he has the goal line is beneficial here.
The worst portion of the Jaguars' defense is their coverage. They allowed 313 yards passing four touchdowns from Carson Wentz last week. Matt Ryan should be able to do the same and find Michael Pittman Jr. in the endzone to finish out this parlay.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Las Vegas Raiders SAME GAME PARLAY Picks
3-Leg Same Game Parlay (+300) (Bet $100 to win $300)
- Davante Adams Anytime Touchdown (-200)
- James Conner Anytime Touchdown (-120)
- Over 51.5 (-114)
The Arizona Cardinals looked dreadful in Week 1 against the Chiefs. The offense was supposed to keep up with any team in the league, and that just wasn't the case in Week 1.
The defense was terrible in coverage, and they weren't much better against the run.
Many of us were extremely surprised by Davante Adams' target share. While I feel it could be unsustainable, Derek Carr was very comfortable throwing to his new target, and that could be a thing throughout the season. The Cardinals allowed five passing touchdowns in Week 1. If Carr gets three passing touchdowns, one will be Adams.
Conner will try to replicate his last year and score about a touchdown per game. He got one last week and is the clear RB1 and goal line back for this Arizona team. The offense should improve against the Raiders, who didn't play all that well in coverage against the Chargers last week.
With both secondaries not playing up to par, I can see this game going over the total in a potential shootout. A lot of Arizona games will be like this.
