Carolina Panthers vs. Arizona Cardinals Prediction: Can Kyler Murray Get The Wheels Moving Against Panthers?

Kyler Murray has noticeably scrambled less this year. I just don’t think that remains the case. Floating all over Twitter is this statistic of the Cardinals record when Kyler runs the ball and does the. When Kyler runs the ball between 0-6 times he is 6-21-1 but when he runs 9+ times he is 11-1. Obviously, it’s important to give context to each game individually but that is a noticeable difference and Kyler needs to run the ball more. I feel like Arizona’s coaching staff knows that and should utilize his mobility more throughout the year.

Carolina Panthers vs. Arizona Cardinals Prediction

Although Murrays' rushing attempts are down he has still hit this prop in 2/3 games. 21 yards could just be one or two plays for Kyler with the type of speed he possesses. This same Panthers defense allowed Daniel Jones to hit this number against them and although Jones is surely mobile I wouldn’t imagine him hitting this prop but a faster and more elusive Kyler Murray failing to do so.

This game is a toss-up but I think this bet has legs until the late 4th. If the Cards are up by plenty of points I can’t imagine they’ll just allow James Connor to run for more 1-yard gains like he’s done all year. If they want to keep the clock running I would like some designed QB runs to keep the defense from just stacking the box against Connor in those situations. If the Cards are trailing then it will likely be nonstop passing plays where Kyler has the option to run each time if none of his men are open downfield. These numbers are just too soft and dating back to last year has hit in 8 of his last 10 regular season games. Let's hope he uses his legs tomorrow and let's roll!
