Indianapolis Colts Mo Alie-Cox

Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos Prediction, Player Prop Pick: Can Mo Alie-Cox Shine in TNF?

Another week another Thursday Night Football matchup. This week the Colts take on the Broncos. The player prop king, John Hyslop, is here with his Mo Alie-Cox player prop for tomorrow night's game.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos Prediction, Player Prop Pick: Can Mo Alie-Cox Shine in TNF?

We've got the Denver Broncos hosting the Indianapolis Colts Thursday night and it will all boil down to our ability to pick the right tight end. That's right, this is pretty much a "let's hope we pick the right one" situation. Basically, it's just like when you go out to eat at a new place and get a peak at the menu for the first time. Once every blue moon something stands out that you have to get but for me, there are always at least three things that I want. They're all good in their own right, but you can't get all three. I guess you could but I'm not doing that. What you have to do in a situation like that is just go with what feels right. Well, the Indianapolis Colts tight end situation is very similar. All three guys can get the job done, but we can't bet all three (I guess we could). Lucky for us, I always end up with the best thing on the menu at every restaurant. I was born to pick the right one (probably).

Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts Player Prop Pick

Mo Alie-Cox Over 18.5 Receiving Yards (-110) (Bet $110 to win $100)

*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*

We're at DraftKings for this banger because FanDuel is hanging 20.5 (-114). No thanks. I was hoping for a ladder move over there but we do not get one since the line is so low. It's definitely something to keep an eye on though. It should also be noted that BetMGM is hanging 18.5 (-115) so if you can go over there, that might work out for you. Totally up to you though.

Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts Prediction

I've been a Mo Alie-Cox guy for years now. He's my guy (kind of). I've always waited for him to become a thing but it just hasn't happened yet. But there's hope now since the Colts are kind of throwing to their tight ends. In fact, only five teams in the NFL have targeted their tight ends more than Indianapolis this season. The only problem is, there are literally three of them. And they all are very similar looking since they're all huge so just know Mo Alie-Cox is number 81. Don't be the person that thinks they cashed a bet only to realize it wasn't your guy. Not fun.

What we have going for us is out of the three tight ends, Alie-Cox has played the most snaps so far this season. Even more important, he's got a 20.3% target rate which isn't bad. We've already seen him get at least three targets in each of the last three games and last game he doubled that with six looks. That's important because the guy is averaging 9.2 yards per target. I don't know if that's sustainable for him but anytime Matt Ryan looks his way he seems to be wide open. We like that.

Hopefully, we get the game script that we want here because that's the easiest path to victory. If the Colts get smashed, they throw which helps everyone (except the Colts). Still, even if this one is close, we can still get home on this small number. For starters, Jonathan Taylor may not play and even if he does, he may not be 100%. On top of that, Patrick Surtain II may shadow Michael Pittman. Both of those guys are basically the Colts' offense. Only five teams in the NFL have given up more receptions to the tight end position this season than the Broncos so if the Colts have to get creative, a tight end should be in the fold. Let's just hope we're on the right one. I think we are. Feels right.
