The New York Jets will welcome a divisional opponent, the Miami Dolphins, to MetLife Stadium for a highly intriguing matchup. The Dolphins will be without Tua Tagovalioa under center. Instead, it'll be Teddy Bridgewater leading the huddle for the Dolphins heading into Week 5. Bridgewater has tons of experience and likely still has enough to win many games for the Dolphins if needed. The Dolphins have a stacked offense with so much talent, including Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill. A quarterback dreams about all of the speed that the Dolphins have.
On the other hand, Zach Wilson made his season debut for the Jets last week and got better as the game went on. Eventually, the franchise quarterback led the Jets down the field for a game-winning touchdown against the Steelers.
The Jets are surprisingly at 2-2 on the season and have a chance to open their eyes in this game against the Dolphins. New York drafted exceptionally well during the offseason, adding multiple immediate game-changers, between Sauce Gardner in the secondary, Breece Hall on the ground, and Garrett Wilson in the air.
Like it or not, the Jets are improving and have so much young talent that is developing at a rapid pace. Will Zach Wilson help the Jets move past the Miami Dolphins, at home, on Sunday? Here are some player props for Sunday's matchup between the New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins.
New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins Prop Predictions
Zach Wilson Over 222.5 Passing Yards (-115)
I will pick on the Miami Dolphins and the secondary on the defensive end. The Dolphins have allowed 414 yards per game, including 310.3 yards per game in the air. Miami has struggled to make tackles and has been bad at stopping the passing game. Last week, it took time for Zach Wilson to get comfortable against the Steelers. However, he led the Jets on a terrific job to finish off the Steelers. I don't think we'll get a slow start from Wilson this time.
Corey Davis Over 3.5 Receptions (+120)
If Wilson's going to have success, he's going to need receivers that make plays. Davis caught five passes from Wilson on six targets last week. Davis has chemistry with Zach Wilson from last season, and it's looking like that will carry over into this year. He also had at least four targets in every game and has seen at least five in three. If Wilson is as crisp as he was in the fourth quarter against Miami's secondary, Davis will secure at least four grabs.
Garrett Wilson Over 46.5 Receiving Yards (-125)
With Joe Flacco under center, Garrett Wilson was getting over ten targets per game. He had six targets with Wilson at quarterback but only secured two of those six targets. Still, with just two grabs, Wilson earned 41 yards. He's a speedy receiver that can make the most out of any play. He could easily get over 46.5 receiving yards with a couple of catches. Plus, I just mentioned how bad the secondary has been in coverage. They've been just as bad at making tackles in the open field. I'll take Wilson to get Over 46.5 receiving yards if he gets at least six targets in this game.
