We're going to need some type of parlay for tonight people. It is what it is. Let's not fight it. Lucky for us, we've got some same-game parlay options so we can just treat this thing like it's DFS. Take one guy from one team and one from another. It correlates but not really. The old "run it back" strategy works. I love it.
The thing with Derek Carr is twofold. The Chiefs might have a good run defense. If they do, then Carr can't just hand the ball off to Josh Jacobs. He's going to have to throw. If I'm wrong and they don't, it may not matter because I think the Chiefs will score all over Las Vegas tonight. At that point, the run defense won't matter much because the game script will dictate playcalling. I think we're throwing tonight and we've already seen half the quarterbacks who've played the Chiefs hit for 300+.
On the Chiefs side, why not run it back with Travis Kelce. I could see him going 90+ for the third time in five tries this season. Especially if JuJu Smith-Schuster is out or limited. No team in the NFL has given up fewer receptions to the wide receiver position this season than Las Vegas. And even though they haven't played any alpha tight ends yet, they've still given up more receiving yards to the position than half the league. And they've played one fewer game. Zach Ertz went for 75 yards against them for Christ's sake. Kelce could go off tonight and it wouldn't even be weird.
