Nobody's forgotten last year's playoffs. The Buffalo Bills had the Chiefs on the ropes in the AFC Divisional Round, only to let the Chiefs earn back-to-back touchdowns in regulation and overtime and lose.

The Bills have had success against the Chiefs in the regular season. But Buffalo has just struggled to earn victories against the Chiefs in the postseason. This year, Josh Allen looks like the league's MVP and has the Bills sitting at 4-1. However, Patrick Mahones lost Tyreek Hill and still has solid numbers, helping the Chiefs go 4-1 in the first five games. Will Josh Allen and the Bills earn a big road win over the Chiefs on Sunday? Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Sunday's game between the Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills Prediction

The Bills and Chiefs games are always a treat. Both teams are currently 4-1 on the season. Josh Allen has looked like an MVP for the Bills, while Patrick Mahomes has done enough with less.

The Bills have averaged 448.2 yards per game this season. 331.8 are coming from the air with Josh Allen under center. Allen's led the team in passing and rushing. He's thrown for 1651 yards and 14 touchdowns. He's also rushed for 225 yards and two touchdowns. He's had a massive connection with Stefon Diggs, who already has 508 yards receiving in five games to go along with five touchdowns. Diggs has averaged over 100 yards per game and a touchdown per game.

Outside of Allen scrambling and making plays with his feet, the run game hasn't been excellent. The run block for the Bills has struggled. Ultimately, the offensive line has struggled, which is the only negative about the Bills' offense.

On defense, Buffalo has looked good rushing the passer. They've also done well in coverage and could have Tre'Davious White back in the starting lineup this week although it's likely he remains out. The Bills aren't as good against the run, but the defense has held up, especially with Buffalo's offense doing its thing through five games.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs have scored 31.8 points per game, which is more than the Bills, who have scored 30.4 points per game. Still, the offense has only earned 393.8 yards per game, which isn't as good as Buffalo. Patrick Mahomes has performed better than Allen at times. He's already thrown 15 touchdown passes and has just two interceptions. Mahomes doesn't have the running game Allen has, but he's made some good decisions with the ball this season behind a better offensive line.

However, the Chiefs have allowed 25 points per game, while the Bills have given up just 12.2 points per game. The Kansas City defense doesn't have nearly as good of a pass rush. The run defense lacks, and they've struggled to convert on tackles. The Bills entered Los Angeles in Week 1 and dominated the Rams. We know that the Rams aren't the Chiefs now, but I'm not afraid to bet on Buffalo, on the road, in a game like this. I'll take the more consistent team, the Buffalo Bills.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills Pick

  • Bills -3 (-110) (Bet $110 to Win $100)
