Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders Prediction

The Washington Commanders and the Chicago Bears will clash from the Windy City on Thursday night. The Commanders kicked off the season with a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but since then, they have lost four consecutive games. This team took a shot on Quarterback Carson Wentz in the off-season, and so far, that move has not paid off. Head coach Ron Rivera made headlines this week when he essentially said that the reason the Commanders have not been competitive is their quarterback play.

Last weekend the Commanders had a golden opportunity to win the game. They had the ball on the one-yard line with about twenty seconds left in the game, and Wentz was intercepted in the end zone. Wentz will look to silence the haters tonight with a big-time performance in prime time.

It has not been all rainbows and roses for the Chicago Quarterback Justin Fields, either. Fields has struggled this season despite the Bears entering play with a record of 2-3. Fields has thrown for just 679 yards this season and has more interceptions than touchdowns. This team relies heavily on running the football and playing defense. The Bears rank twenty-seventh in the NFL in points per game, scoring just 17.2 per game at the moment. This line has flipped back and forth all week, but at the moment, the Commanders come in -1.

I will be backing the Commanders on the moneyline tonight. I know that they have looked bad this season, but I think the line is pretty telling here. Chicago has not impressed me, and I believe the Commanders are the more talented team. I expect Justin Fields to struggle to get anything going tonight. This game could be ugly and make you think about never watching football again, but I do feel confident at the end of it, the Commanders will come out on top. Let’s stay hot and enjoy the game!
