We're at DraftKings and we're taking advantage of their alt lines for this one. I like their version of alt lines better but just so you know, they do have these at FanDuel. Here's the thing with these. Just move the line a little and fire away. There's no need to go full teaser these days unless you're just getting all sentimental. For instance, we don't need to take the Patriots all the way up to nine in my opinion. I'm comfortable with them at +6.
For starters, the Patriots are going to show up wanting to run the football and play defense. That's what they did last week and it worked. I get they were at home but they blew out the Detroit Lions. What this week's opponent, the Cleveland Browns, have in common with the Lions is the fact that they stink at stopping the run. They're 30th in the NFL in opponent yards per carry. On top of that, they have a below-average quarterback that the Patriots are familiar with in Jacoby Brissett. I doubt the Patriots lose this game and if they do, it should be by less than six points.
For the second leg, just make the Buccaneers a field-goal favorite and move on with our lives. The Pittsburgh Steelers could be the worst team in the NFL and they will be missing Minkah Fitzpatrick who is their second-best defensive player behind TJ Watt who is already out. This group just gave up 6+ yards a carry last week to the Buffalo Bills as well as 19.6 yards per completion. They are going to get their asses kicked Sunday.
