The Seahawks defeated the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday, winning 19-9 in a critical NFC West matchup.  Wide receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett have helped QB Geno Smith settle in this season, as he quietly has turned in one of the league's better first halves of the season. Since Rashaad Penny fractured his leg earlier in the season, Kenneth Walker III, a rookie, will be counted on to handle the run game for the Seahawks moving forward.

This season, the Chargers have experienced both good victories and stunning defeats. After beating the visiting Denver Broncos 19-16 in overtime on Monday night last week, they are currently riding a three-game winning streak. Justin Herbert has proven himself as a top quarterback for Los Angeles, despite the absence of WR Keenan Allen, who hasn't played since Week 1 due to a hamstring injury.  Allen confirmed that he would return for the Seattle game, as he'll now join WR Mike Williams for what should be a stealthy 1-2 punch.

Let’s take a closer look at three players I’m keyed in for this weekend.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Seattle Seahawks Best Player Prop Picks

Anytime Touchdown Scorer - Austin Ekeler (-160)

Austin Ekeler has scored at least one rushing touchdown in each of the last three games after a sluggish start to the season (0 TDs in the first three games). In both the short passing and running games, he will keep receiving the ball, as he has developed into a favorite target of Herbert out in the flat.

In this one, he now draws a Seattle defense that is amongst the worst in the league. Coming into the week, the Seahawks' defense ranked #30 in total yards, #31 in rushing yards, and #29 in points allowed. All signs point towards a big day for the Chargers' #1 scoring option in Ekeler.

Austin Ekeler - Rushing Yards Over 60.5 (-115)

We’ve already touched on the main bullet points here, but this one keyed in on just how bad the Seahawks’ front seven has been. To this point, they are allowing over 165 yards per game on the ground, and now welcome in a high-powered Chargers unit they’ll be forced to try and stop.

Though he has gotten much of his production through the air to start the season, I like for the Chargers to build a lead and pound the ball with Ekeler to close this one out.

Geno Smith - Rushing Yards Over 18.5 (-115)

Slowly but surely, Smith is taking the reigns of this Seattle offense and turning them into a real threat to compete in the NFC West. Mostly getting it done through the air, Smith has 125 yards on the season through six games while averaging 4.8 yards per carry.
