New York Jets vs. New England Patriots Prediction

The New England Patriots and the New York Jets will duel for a much anticipated AFC East matchup. The Jets have gotten off to one of the best starts of any team in the AFC through the first seven weeks. The Jets got off to a 1-2 start in the absence of Zach Wilson, but they have since turned around their season. Wilson has played exceptional football, and the Jets have been outstanding on the defensive side of the ball. It has been a long time since Jets fans were excited about football, but they have a legitimate reason to be excited this season. They will have to continue their strong play if they want to make a playoff push out of the AFC.

It has been an up-and-down season for the Patriots. They have experienced injuries to the QB position, which forced rookie Bailey Zappe into action for a few games. Zappe was impressive in his short stint, but it appears that Mac Jones will be back and healthy for this afternoon's game. Jones started New England’s last game on Monday night against the Bears, but he did not lash long. Jones really struggled and was pulled early for a suspected injury. The Patriots will look to bounce back with a win today. 

I am backing New England on the moneyline. I think this line suggests that the Patriots are the play here. The Jets have been on top of the world and playing great football, yet the Jets are three-point dogs at home. I trust that we will see a strong performance by New England today. I think they will be able to easily run the football today and shut down Zach Wilson and this Jets offense. I will trust the Pats and the line here.
