Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals Prediction

The Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns will clash from the dog pound on Halloween Night for a Monday Night Football affair. The Bengals entered the season with a lot of hype around their team. The Bengals shocked the NFL a season ago when they came out of the AFC. The Bengals will catch nobody by surprise this year, as the league knows how dominant this team is.

The Bengals are led by Joe Burrow, who has looked like an MVP candidate over the last month. The Bengals did not get off to a good start this season, as they came out of the gate 0-2. They would bounce back and win a pair of games before dropping a game against the Ravens on the road. They have responded with a pair of wins and will look to stay over the .500 mark tonight.

Cincinnati got bad news this week when they learned that Ja’Marr Chase would be out for six to eight weeks. Chase is considered one of the best wideouts in the game, and he will be a tough piece to replace.

Cleveland has had a rough go of things through the first seven weeks representing a record of 2-5. Cleveland has had some success as a franchise in the last few years, but they made many changes in the off-season. They traded Baker Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers and traded for Deshaun Watson, which caused a lot of controversies. Watson has been suspended for every game so far this season, forcing Jacoby Brissett into action. Brissett has done more bad than good for the Browns so far, and he will have to turn in a strong performance tonight if the Browns want to pull off this upset.

I am all over the Browns tonight with the points. This is a Browns line, and I trust they come out and make a good effort at home tonight. If they can establish the run early and feed off of that the rest of the way, they should put themselves in a good position.

I think the absence of Ja’Marr Chase is underlooked here as well. Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd are good wideouts, but their roles completely change tonight. They will now get much more attention than they typically do with Chase, not on the field. Cleveland still has a good pass rush, and if they can get to Burrow, I think they will limit the production of the Bengals offense tonight. Let’s stay hot and cash in!
