Week 9 of the NFL season kicks off with a Thursday Night Football matchup when Jalen Hurts and the red-hot Eagles take on the struggling Houston Texans. Handicapper Jason Radowitz is here with his best bet for it.
ANALYSIS

Houston Texans vs. Philadelphia Eagles Prediction, Pick, Odds: Will the Eagles Continue to Fly High on TNF?

The Philadelphia Eagles will put their undefeated season on the line against a Houston Texans team with just one win. The Eagles haven't played much competition this year to begin the season. However, they're the only team to beat the Minnesota Vikings, and they've taken care of business against every other team they've faced. The Eagles still deserve a whole lot of credit for their win streak.

Meanwhile, the Texans have just one win on the season. They couldn't even buy the Tennessee Titans last week, who were using a rookie quarterback making his first NFL start.

The Eagles likely have this game, but will they be able to cover the spread? Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Thursday's game between the Houston Texans vs. Philadelphia Eagles.

Houston Texans vs. Philadelphia Eagles Prediction

The Eagles have averaged 28 points per game while allowing just 16.9 points per game. The offense has been sensational, scoring at least 20 points in every single game this season. The best part about the Philadelphia offense is how new players show up weekly.

Last week, A.J. Brown caught three touchdown passes. Against Dallas, Miles Sanders, DeVonta Smith, and Brown chipped in for a touchdown. In the game before that, Jalen Hurts rushed for two touchdowns for the Eagles against the Cardinals. Hurts has thrown for ten touchdowns and has rushed for six more. Meanwhile, Sanders has five rushing touchdowns. Brown has five receiving touchdowns, and Smith has two more receiving touchdowns.

It's just always someone new for the Eagles. That makes it fun. The offense has a bunch of playmakers and a terrific offensive line. That's allowed them to dominate teams this year.

On defense, Philadelphia has had struggles wrapping up tackles. But other than that, they've held teams to 321.6 yards per game and brought in Robert Quinn to help out on the defensive end.

Meanwhile, the Texans have struggled in every area but the run game. They've relied heavily on Dameon Pierce, a rookie running back. He's rushed for 4.5 yards and has earned 121 attempts on the year with 529 yards and three touchdowns. But at quarterback, Davis Mills likely isn't the answer. He's thrown eight touchdowns but has also turned the ball over six times with six interceptions.

He might not even have Brandin Cooks shortly at receiver, as he's getting plenty of looks before the trade deadline from contending teams.

Meanwhile, the defense has looked awful against the run. They've allowed 186 yards per game on the ground and will take on one of the best rushing offenses in football. The Eagles have earned close to 150 yards rushing per game this season. Houston's been better against the pass but is still just an average group that likely can't handle A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

I've got the Eagles winning by multiple touchdowns against the Texans on Thursday night.
