Travis Allgeier (ATL) 30+ rushing yards

Cordarrelle Patterson returned last week and looked good, ending the day with two touchdowns. Not to be lost with him returning is the fact that Tyler Allgeier still saw 10 carries and turned those 10 carries into 99 yards.

The Atlanta Falcons run the ball a lot…I mean a lot. With rain and high winds expected in Charlotte, the Falcons will look to keep doing what they do best – run the ball. The Falcons run the ball, on average, the third most out of any team in the league, so the rain just gives them an excuse to do it more.

Allgeier has gotten some extra run with Patterson out, but even with him Patterson back in the mix, Allgeier has rushed for at least 30 yards in every game this season outside of Week 2, against the Seattle Seahawks, where he took 6 carries for 25 yards. Let’s bank on Allgeier to cross 40+ yards tonight.

D’Onta Foreman (CAR) 40+ rushing yards

Let’s rewind to Week 8, where Foreman took 26 carries for 118 yards, scoring three touchdowns against this very same Atlanta Falcons team. Last week he carried the ball 7 times for 23 yards in a 42-21 shellacking at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals, but the game script/significant deficit was enough to keep him off the field. Let’s not forget Foreman rushed for 118 yards in back-to-back weeks before crashing back down. If the Panthers keep this close, I think Foreman should see ample opportunities to get us the 40 rushing yards we need.
