I don’t believe we have seen a number this low for Thielen all year and for good reason. Thielen has 4+ receptions in seven of his last eight games with the only miss falling just short with three. He has 4+ receptions in four straight home games averaging six catches per game in that stretch. Minnesota faces a Cowboys defense that allows the third-fewest passing yards but Thielen's ADOT is down this year and he is the safety blanket for those 5-10 yard throws.
Thielen has seen 7+ targets in eight straight games and Dallas can put up points so I don’t see that changing. The volume should be there, it’s just a matter of if he reels in the catch or not. This line feels like an overreaction to the addition of TJ Hockenson but it’s been proven that Thielen will still get his looks. This game will be cold but shouldn’t be affected by wind or snow, Thielen is no stranger to a cold weather game.
I know the juice is a little heavy but this line should have opened at 4.5 easily so getting a whole reception less is worth drinking the juice for. Last year we saw Thielen face a very similar Cowboys pass defense and he brought in six balls, we just need four tomorrow night which isn’t asking for much. Let's get this bet in right away before others realize the value this has, let's roll!
