The Cincinnati Bengals are starting to look like last year's team, with three straight victories heading into Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bengals have won four of their last five games and will likely have Joe Mixon and Ja'Marr Chase back in the starting lineup on Sunday.
On the other hand, the Chiefs continue to roll. They've won five straight games and look like the best team in the AFC. The offense has scored at least 26 points in four games and held three teams to 17 points or fewer.

The Bengals and Chiefs are both red hot right now. The Bengals have won four of their last five games, while the Chiefs have won their last five games.
Joe Burrow has thrown 3,160 yards with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions. His season started off slow, but he's looked in form recently. The Bengals' winning streak began with Ja'Marr Chase on the sideline. Now they'll add him and Joe Mixon back to the starting lineup. The offense will only get more lethal from here.

Meanwhile, defensively, the Bengals have allowed 338.6 yards per game. They've held opponents to 21 points per game and have been above-average in everything but run defense. The run defense is a bit suspect, but they've only allowed 112.2 yards per game this season. It could be much worse.
On the other hand, the Chiefs have won five straight while dealing with their injuries. Kadarius Toney, Mecole Hardman, and JuJu Smith-Schuster had been injured. Smith-Schuster is back and played last week while Toney and Hardman were out. Toney could play this week, but Hardman is unlikely to play. Isiah Pacheco has emerged in the backfield, with 455 yards rushing on 97 attempts. He's helped the Chiefs become more balanced offensively. Of course, Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 3,585 yards with 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He's having another MVP-like season and will be in the running down the stretch.
On defense, the Chiefs have missed a whole bunch of tackles. But schematically, they've been good, holding teams to 22.1 points per game. The defense has still allowed over 255 yards in the air per game and the run defense isn't always on point. With the Bengals healthier offensively, we'll likely get a shootout between two excellent AFC teams. We might get to see this matchup in the playoffs.
