Miami Dolphins vs. New England Patriots Prediction: Can Mac Jones, Patriots Regroup in Week 2?
The Patriots dropped their home opener in a tough loss to the Eagles last week, as they just didn’t have enough juice to complete the comeback. Can they get it done against the Dolphins tonight, though? Let's break it down.

The Dolphins were the talk of the NFL after Week 1 as Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill absolutely lit up the Chargers on their way to an upset victory. Tagovailoa threw for 466 yards and three touchdowns and made some absolutely insane throws as he was the most impressive quarterback across the entire league in Week 1. Tyreek Hill also had a monster day as he ran wild with 11 receptions for 215 yards and two touchdowns on the day.

Miami Dolphins vs. New England Patriots Prediction
Will the Dolphins be able to walk into Foxborough and light up the Patriots like they did against the Chargers? I am not so sure. The Patriots lost Week 1 to the Eagles, but they showed a lot of toughness and resiliency to bounce back from an early 16-0 deficit to make it a game. What I was really impressed with in that game was the Patriots' pass defense and ability to rush the passer. New England only allowed 170 passing yards to Jalen Hurts and were able to sack him three times as well while also forcing a fumble.
The Dolphins did a fantastic job of protecting Tua in Week 1, but I do not foresee them having the same success with their pass blocking in this one. The run game was a real concern as well for this Dolphins offense last week, as Raheem Mostert averaged less than four yards per carry, and they only totaled 70 total rushing yards as a team.
In the NFL, you simply cannot be one-dimensional. This isn’t college football where you can get by with a Heisman-level quarterback by throwing the ball every play. There needs to be balance with your offense to win games consistently, and I am not so sure that Miami has that balance right now.
I was also very impressed with Mac Jones and how he threw the ball against a very stout Eagles defense and front seven. Jones threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns and should be primed for another big game after seeing what Justin Herbert did to this Dolphins secondary last week. With that being said, I am rolling with Patriots +3 at -120 for 1.5u as one of my most confident NFL plays of the day.
