Saquon Barkley Giants TD

Giants vs. 49ers Prediction, Pick, Odds: Do the Giants Have Any Hope Without Saquon Barkley on TNF?

The New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers kick off NFL Week 3 this Thursday. Do the Giants have any hope without Saquon Barkley on TNF? Jason Radowitz shares his Giants vs. 49ers pick.

Giants vs. 49ers Prediction, Pick, Odds: Do the Giants Have Any Hope Without Saquon Barkley on TNF?

In my weekly power rankings, I put the San Francisco 49ers as the best team in the NFL.

They're 2-0 and playing tremendous football on both sides of the ball.

On Thursday, they'll take on a New York Giants team that has looked lost in six of their first eight quarters.

The Giants needed a 21-point comeback against the Arizona Cardinals to get to 1-1 on the season. But now they'll likely have to get through this game without their star running back, Saquon Barkley, who injured his ankle late in that game against the Cardinals.

Do the Giants stand a chance?

Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Thursday's game between the New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers.

New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers Prediction

The New York Giants finally have some momentum heading into Thursday. On Sunday, the Giants rallied for an incredible comeback win against the Arizona Cardinals, scoring all 31 points of the 31-28 victory in the second half.

Daniel Jones added over 320 yards passing, but that was essentially because the Giants had to be ultra-aggressive, down 21 in the third quarter.

Jones hasn't been awful. He hasn't had time in the pocket to find receivers down the field. The pass protection has been excellent.

Meanwhile, the 49ers have one of the best pass rushes in football. The coverage is also excellent. Therefore, it's likely that Jones will struggle to find rhythm again in this game.

The 49ers have only earned 213 yards passing throughout the first two weeks. Brock Purdy has thrown two touchdowns and no interceptions. But they're mainly running the football. Christian McCaffrey has added 268 yards on 42 carries.

The offensive line hasn't been great for the 49ers. However, the Niners have many playmakers that can make things happen on the field.

The Giants have an okay pass rush. However, the secondary and run defense hasn't been up to par. If Purdy can get some time in the pocket and McCaffrey can find holes through the Niners' offensive line, it'll be a tough game for the Giants.

All the momentum the Giants had was just lost when Barkley went down. Even if he plays, I'm sure he'll be limited.

Let's take the Niners -10 against the Giants for Thursday Night Football.
