Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers Same Game Parlay: Will Amon-Ra St. Brown Show Up on TNF?

I love the standalone NFL primetime games as they really allow you to dive into one specific game as opposed to trying to digest an entire 1pm NFL Sunday slate. I cooked up a Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers Thursday Night Football same game parlay on FanDuel for tonight's primetime matchup that I think has a lot of value. Let's break it down.

Lions vs. Packers Date, Time, and Where to Watch

Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers Same Game Parlay

Leg 1: Amon-Ra St Brown 40+ Receiving yards

Amon-Ra St. Brown has burst onto the scene over the past few seasons as one of the most talented receivers in the NFL. He has been about as consistent as it gets for Jared Goff and this Detroit offense, and he has gotten off to another solid start this season. To this point through 3 games, St. Brown has notched 71, 102, and 102 yards for an average of just under 92 yards per game. He is undoubtedly Goff's favorite target as well as he is averaging over 9 targets per game on the season. He is 15th in the NFL among receivers in percentage of his team's targets so he should see a large enough target share tonight to amass 40+ yards in what could end up a high scoring game late.

Leg 2: Sam LaPorta 25+ Receiving Yards

The rookie tight end from Iowa is quickly becoming a favorite target for Jared Goff. Sam LaPorta has amassed 18 catches for 186 yards through his first three games for an average of 62 yards per game. More importantly, Goff is frequently looking his way as he notched 11 targets against Atlanta and is averaging just over seven targets per game so far in his young career. He has reeled in 18 of 22 potential targets so he is getting open through his elite route running and scheme of this offense. LaPorta could get this number on a single play as he reeled in a 45-yard TD catch last week, and I think his floor tonight is three-to-four catches for 35-to-40 yards. The Packers have also had a tough time defending lead tight ends as they allowed Cole Kmet for the Bears to reel in five catches for 44 yards and Jonnu Smith/Kyle Pitts to combine for six catches for 62 yards. At the moment, LaPorta is the number two target in this Lions offense and 25+ yards seems like a small feat for him to reach tonight.

Leg 3: Green Bay Packers +17.5

This is more of a leg to lower the juice a bit, but this game should be fairly close on either side to the very end. The Lions have closed the game in the past few years with regards to talent level between the two teams and now that Aaron Rodgers is gone, this is a fairly even playing field between these two franchises. This game should be a one possession game either way at the end and I feel very comfortable adding this leg to any same game parlay as I feel like the Packers will not get blown out by more than three possessions at home.

Leg 4: Full Game Under 61.5

Another leg to lower the juice here but I do not see this game being a complete shootout. This is a rivalry game and both defenses are much improved. The Lions have one of the better run defenses in the NFL and the Packers have a solid pass rush that could kill some drives for Detroit. This alt total is about 16 points over the set game total for the game which is 45.5 at the moment and I think this is a solid parlay leg to lower the juice a bit.
