Jordan Love has silences the haters so far this season, but the honeymoon has to come to an end at some point. I’m fading him a couple different ways tonight against a defense that people aren’t talking about enough. I’m predicting Love and the Green Bay Packers offense will have one heck of a time against the Detroit Lions defensive line. Here’s how I’m fading the rising star…

Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers Prediction
Detroit’s rush defense is top-five in the NFL. You might ask yourself, “why would you fade Jordan Love props tonight if the Lions’ rush defense is elite?” That’s a fair question, but let me break it down for you. Detroit’s rush defense might be top-tier, but their secondary isn’t anything special. Matt LaFleur’s game plan will be to beat the Lions through the air; it’s the only real chance they’ve got against this DL. Some might see this as a bad thing when trying to fade Love’s props tonight, but I don’t see a world where he has time in the pocket to find his receivers tonight.
Christian Watson might be active, but he will be on a snap-count and won’t be nearly as effective as the public is expecting. Green Bay’s running backs won’t be able to move the ball effectively against this DL, so Love will be tasked with trying to save the game for the Packers himself. I see this causing serious issues against a defense that’s going to be giving him ZERO time to throw the ball. This will result in limited success for Love and the Packers through the air. Their offense will be stunted as a whole against this underrated Detroit defensive front.
I’ve been watching the juice trickle-down on Jordan Love’s u1.5 passing touchdowns prop all day. The under is now (-150) on most books. Grab this before the juice gets worse, or oddsmakers take this off the books. This might be my favorite player prop of the season. The public expects Love to shine through the air in this contest, but he won’t have any time to let his reads play out. Not only will he take more sacks tonight than he has all season, this overrated Packers OL will finally reveal its true colors.
Jordan Love will look like he did for much of the 2022 season tonight in his limited sample… inconsistent and uncomfortable in the pocket. Fade the young QB on his passing touchdowns prop tonight; I’m not expecting the Packers to score two touchdowns in this game, let alone through the air. This Detroit defense will finally get the respect and recognition they deserve for TNF’s primetime matchup.
