Thursday Night Football Player Props Week 4: Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets for Lions vs. Packers

With lots of injury news heading into tonight's Thursday night football matchup, prop odds have been flying all over the place, including anytime touchdown picks. There are two players I love to score tonight at the prices they are listed at. The reason I am playing both these guys on the same team at high odds is that we just need one of the two to hit to come out ahead, and in the off chance both hit, that's a great night. Let's get into it.

Thursday Night Football Anytime TD Picks

Jayden Reed Anytime Touchdown +425 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Romeo Doubs has the most receiving touchdowns on the Green Bay Packers with three, but Jayden Reed is not far behind with two himself. What makes Reed's case interesting is that no other single player in the NFL has more red zone targets than Jayden Reed at seven, while Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins is tied with seven also. Even with the Dolphins scoring 70 points last week, Reed is tied with "the Cheetah" in red zone targets.

Reed had his highest snap share last week in the comeback, logging 52 total snaps in Week 3. Reed primarily lines up in the slot, which is part of why he is such a good receiver to target in the red zone on those slants across the middle in short-to-medium yardage situations. He also has a great set of hands, which I'm sure his coaches have caught on to, and why Love has looked his way in the red zone so often and so early in the season. +425 feels like an absolute STEAL on the player tied for the most red zone targets in the NFL through three weeks.

Luke Musgrave Anytime Touchdown +350 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Luke Musgrave is a bit of a different angle. The rookie tight end has not caught a touchdown yet, but he has built his report as a good receiving tight end, as he has 124 receiving yards through the first three games, which is just five behind Romeo Doubs. Musgrave is the only player with over 50 receiving yards without a touchdown on the team. This isn't a bet solely because he's "due", but he is kinda due.

The real and more analytical reason is due to the fact that tight ends have been carving up the Lion's defense like a Thanksgiving turkey. Through week three, the Lions have given up 131 receiving yards per game to tight ends, with the second-place team being the Texans, who are giving up 80 per game. Now, yards don't correlate 100% to touchdowns, but when tight ends are being targeted more against a team because it's a weakness of that defense, that can transfer to the red zone. Musgrave is a great option for a bet on his receiving yards tonight, but he's also +350 to score a touchdown, and against a team that has not defended tight ends well early in the season, I'll take Musgrave to get his first of the season tonight at the high price.
