The Denver Broncos were able to get their first win of the season this past week with a comeback win over the Chicago Bears. The Broncos were down 7-28 to the Bears before coming back and winning 31-28. They got the monkey off their back and moved to 1-3, and they now host the 1-3 New York Jets, who are coming off a close loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos are just 2.5-point favorites in this game. Can they keep their momentum going today?

New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos Prediction
For the first time in a long time last week, Zach Wilson looked like a real NFL quarterback. Wilson had maybe the best game of his career last week, looking like he deserved to be the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Zach Wilson had a passer rating of 105.2 last week, which is the highest passer rating he has had in a game so far in his career. It also happened to be against the defending Super Bowl champions in primetime.
Without a doubt, it was the best Zach Wilson has ever looked in a loss that was very close to a win. The Jets were driving late in the fourth quarter with a chance to tie or take the lead, but Zach Wilson fumbled a snap that ended the drive and just about sealed the game for the Chiefs after a few first downs. While the Jets lost that game, it should prove as a huge confidence booster for Wilson and the Jets' offense.
The Broncos were able to escape Chicago with a win last week, but there is still cause for concern. The Bronco's defense gave up 28 pretty easy points to the Bears, who were winless at the time, and they made the Bear's offense look really good. The Bears would have won that game without a late Justin Fields fumble, and the Bears nearly won in the fourth before a Fields pick. Even though the Broncos won, nothing impressed me about their performance. Even Russell Wilson had a mediocre game, going 21/28 with 223 yards. The Broncos offense did not have success moving the ball against a bad Bears defense until late in the game.
While both teams are 1-3, I actually side with the Jets here. The Jets' defense has looked really good through four weeks. They have held down some really good offenses, and they have only been blown out once by the Cowboys. The Broncos have not really looked good in any week so far, including last week's win that I think could be drawn up as closer to a fluke. Zach Wilson is coming off the best game of his career against one of the best teams in the league, even though they barely lost. The Jet's defense, coupled with Breece Hall and a better-looking Zach Wilson, is enough for me to think the Jets will win this game outright on the road. We're getting a few points, though, for insurance.
