The biggest mismatch on the Week 6 NFL slate, at least on paper, is the game between the New York Giants vs. Buffalo Bills.
The Giants are off to a dreadful start to their season, ranking bottom of the league in most offensive metrics. Now, they are dealing with injuries to numerous key starters, including their quarterback, running back, tight end, and several offensive linemen. Conversely, the Bills have been producing numbers as a top-three offense, but they couldn't do enough to beat Jacksonville in Week 5, losing 25-20 overseas in London to Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne.
Buffalo gets a prime time home game in the most "get right" spot imaginable. Could this wind up being a trap game where the Bills overlook their opponent? Tyrod Taylor is a career veteran in the league and spent several years in Buffalo, getting them to a playoff berth back in 2015. Can Taylor do the unthinkable and lead an injury-plagued offense into a hostile road environment to beat one of the top teams in the AFC? Or will the Bills take control early and snuff out any attempt to make this Sunday Night Football game competitive?

Oddsmakers are giving the Giants next to no chance to pull off the outright win, valuing New York at +750 moneyline odds on FanDuel, while getting +15.5 ATS on the road in Highmark Stadium. This is an incredibly large line that feels like it could be difficult to hit. However, the Giants will be without Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, and Andrew Thomas, their top offensive lineman, so there's definitely a reason why the Giants are over two-touchdown underdogs entering this game against Buffalo.
To make matters worse, the Giants are 0-5 ATS, while their only outright win came in a historic comeback over the lowly Arizona Cardinals after falling into a 20-0 half time deficit. New York doesn't have the personnel to contend with the likes of Allen, Stefon Diggs, and Gabe Davis, so it'll likely turn to its rushing attack against the Bills, who are one of the league's worst run defenses. Yes, they have Von Miller back, but Buffalo just lost linebacker Matt Milano for the season due to a leg injury sustained in London, which could mean a heavy dose of Matt Breida. Expect second-year wideout Wan'Dale Robinson to continue to get fed with targets, as he's easily the most explosive playmaker suiting up for the Giants on Sunday night.
New York is a bottom-three run defense, so the Bills could turn to James Cook and Allen in the run game to expose the Giants' biggest weakness since they profile as the 12th toughest matchup against the pass in terms of completion percentage (64.4%) this season. The Giants could move the football effectively against the Bills run defense, which is allowing a league-high 5.8 yards per attempt this season, plus Taylor's presence under center could be a good thing for an anemic offense still struggling to find ways to score points.
In Week 5, the Giants, albeit with more starters than they'll have in Week 6, lost by 15 points to the Miami Dolphins. Here, we're getting +15.5 ATS on the Giants, who draw a favorable matchup against a soft Bills run defense missing its best player, Milano, which means they can pick up first downs, check clock, and get into scoring position. Taylor is a big unknown variable, but he can't be much worse than Jones has played this season. Brian Daboll and Mike Kafka will get a game plan together to keep the game within 15 points by the final whistle. It's not fun or pretty, but we're looking for winners, and covering -15.5 ATS is too much to ask of this Buffalo Bills team in this specific matchup.
