7 minJaguars vs. Saints Prediction, Pick, Odds: Will Trevor Lawrence Play With Injury On A Short Week?
The Jacksonville Jaguars are on a roll. With three straight victories, the Jaguars are sitting at 4-2 on the season and in prime position for a playoff run.
However, quarterback Trevor Lawrence is questionable with a knee injury. He acknowledged that his knee has healed rapidly and hopes to play on Thursday.
C.J. Beathard would start in Lawrence's place if he's unable to go.
The Jaguars will take on a New Orleans Saints team that has lost three of their last four games. Derek Carr hasn't lived up to the hype, and the offense has had so many injuries and suspensions to work around this season.
However, the defense for the Saints has been terrific. Can that defense push the Saints past the Jaguars on Thursday Night Football?

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New Orleans Saints Prediction
It sounds like Trevor Lawrence will actually play on Thursday Night. That's obviously what the Jaguars want, and they've alluded that he's getting better rapidly.
Lawrence has only thrown seven touchdowns, but he's also limited interceptions to three. He's playing behind an offensive line that hasn't performed very well in pass protection or the run block.
Meanwhile, Travis Etienne Jr. already has five touchdowns on the ground with 113 carries, helping the Jaguars rush to 113.5 yards per game.
However, the Saints have held teams to 294.2 yards per game. The defense is one of the best in the NFL, keeping teams to 197.8 yards in the air and just 96.3 yards per game on the ground.
On the other hand, the Jaguars have been solid defensively, too. They've given up 356.5 yards per game, which is a bit high. But that's coming from 281.2 yards in the air per game. Oddly enough, the secondary has performed the most in this defense right now, despite the run defense allowing only 75.3 yards per game on the ground.
Although Derek Carr is also listed as questionable, he's also expected to play. He's thrown for only five touchdowns this season. The leading rusher on the team doesn't even have 200 yards on the season.
Therefore, the Saints' offense isn't very intriguing either.
Let's ride the Under 39.5 in this game. Both quarterbacks are injured and banged up, while both defenses are playing at a higher level right now.
