The Saints signed defensive end Carl Granderson to a 4-year, $52 million extension in September, and he has proven to be worth every penny through six games.
Granderson leads the team with 4.5 sacks this season, has 23 total pressures, and four QB hits. He’s registered a sack in four of six games, and continues to make big plays for New Orleans every week.
Last week, Granderson faced a very good LT in Laremy Tunsil and gave him fits. Tonight, he faces another good tackle in Cam Robinson, but I like his chances to get to the quarterback. Trevor Lawrence will be playing with a sprained knee on a short week which could limit his mobility. Lawrence should stay in the pocket more than normal as a result and I expect Granderson to get to him at least once.
