Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Tyler Lockett, Seahawks Cover?
An NFC West divisional matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals is on tap on Sunday's Week 7 late afternoon slate.
The Arizona Cardinals may be 1-5, but they've played hard against every opponent, starting off good in the first half before faltering down the stretch in the second half of games, most notably, their collapse against the New York Giants. Joshua Dobbs' mobility and accuracy, combined with good decision-making, has the Cardinals' offense playing clean, methodical football to chew clock and keep opposing offenses off of the field.
Seattle, conversely, is 3-2, but they couldn't beat the Cincinnati Bengals on the road in a low-scoring 17-13 loss. Geno Smith hasn't looked nearly as consistent as last season, but he still has quality weapons within the Seahawks offense. Seattle's defense is also performing well, allowing 108 total points through five games, which is eighth-best in the league. Rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon, the Seahawks' first-round pick, is returning immense value thus far, while Bobby Wagner continues to anchor the middle of their defense.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks Prediction
Arizona has lost 12 of its last 13 games, with the exception coming against Dallas in Week 3. The Cardinals are 3-3 ATS, getting 7.5 points on the road at Lumen Field, while Seattle enters this game 3-2 ATS, but on a consecutive six-game losing streak covering the spread as favorites against divisional opponents.
Winning by eight points doesn't seem like much to ask for against an Arizona defense that is riddled with injuries, while ranking 27th for most points allowed (162) and also surrendering 5.7 yards per play, which is also bottom-seven amongst all defenses in the league this season.
Seattle's offense relies on a heavy dose of second-year running back Kenneth Walker, who has been a touchdown machine, finishing off drives in the red zone. Tyler Lockett has been a bit quiet but he popped for two touchdowns, including the game-winner against the Lions, so he'll likely be a key component attacking Arizona's vulnerable secondary.
D.K. Metcalf is the alpha in the passing attack this year, but his status is currently questionable due to a rib injury. The Seahawks are still top-ten in offensive drives ending with a score, while ranking third in turnover percentage, so they don't make many mistakes. Their slow, methodical rushing attack lets Seattle maintain possession while burning clock, while they attempt to finish drives with Walker once they get within striking distance.
Seattle has won by 10 points in each of their last two home games against the Cardinals, who are dealing with key injuries on both sides of the line of scrimmage. After a lackluster offensive outing against a tough Bengals defense, this soft matchup at home should allow Seattle to score with relative ease, while its defense takes care of Dobbs and the Cardinals. Let's wager two units on Seattle to cover the spread, laying -7.5 ATS at -115 odds.
