Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens Same Game Parlay: Can Jared Goff, Lions Get It Done?

The Detroit Lions offense has been an absolute powerhouse this season, and with David Montgomery hurt, I believe they are going to have to rely heavily on the pass game. The Baltimore Ravens have a pretty solid pass defense, but, I believe they have not gone against a passing attack offense like the Lions this season.

There are two players that we are going to be looking at today for a parlay of +480 odds, Jared Goff and Sam LaPorta. I believe both of these guys will have big days and get it done for us today. Don't forget, it's also national tight ends day, so LaPorta could have himself a game!

Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens Same Game Parlay

Leg 1: Jared Goff 225+ Passing Yards

Goff has a 80% hit rate in his last 15 games and both of the times he missed were versus a divisional opponent. I realize he's going against the No. 2 pass defense in the NFL, but the Ravens really haven't been tested by a strong passing offense yet. Their opponent quarterback resume hasn't been very impressive so far: Ryan Tannehill, Kenny Pickett, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, an injured Joe Burrow, and CJ Stroud.

Given Burrow's issues this season, Stroud is probably the toughest quarterback they've faced this season, and he put up 242 yards against them. The Lions are a legitimate powerhouse offense this season, and white it hurts not having Montgomery, it also means Goff will need to find more ways to get the job done today.

Leg 2: Sam LaPorta 4+ Receptions and Anytime Touchdown Scorer

I love the way this guy has been playing in his rookie season, and here's an interesting stat: LaPorta has seen more targets and received more catches in the first half of every game this year. As a matter of fact, all of his touchdowns have also came from the first half. I believe this is mostly because the Lions have had the luxury of abusing teams early on and then leaning on their rush to close out the show.

There have only been three games this season where the score was within ten heading into the fourth quarter: the Chiefs, Seahawks, and Falcons, where LaPorta has posted five, five, and eight receptions respectively, with a combined 22 targets. I'm expecting this game to be close, especially with a line spread of 2.5, LaPorta should be heavily involved in the pass game.
