Brock Purdy is coming off his worst career game. Last week was the first regular season loss for the 49ers since Purdy took over under center last year. I’m willing to bet the young star bounces back in a big way on the road tonight.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction
Barring any setbacks, it looks like Christian McCaffrey is going to play tonight. He is nursing an oblique injury, which doesn’t bode well for anyone, especially a running back. Although I do think the 49ers will use McCaffrey when they need him most, they won’t be leaning on their star RB tonight. They need to limit his volume so that he’s available for the playoffs, not a regular season game in Week 7.
The Vikings secondary is atrocious. They have a decent DL and a really good linebacker in Danielle Hunter, but the 49ers should thrive against this secondary even without Deebo Samuel. I’m willing to bet that Kyle Shanahan takes an “air-raid” approach for tonight’s offensive play-calling, letting Purdy air it out in this one.
If the 49ers were laying anything less than a touchdown, I’d recommend that as a play. Unfortunately, they are laying seven points on the road tonight, and I can already see Kirk Cousins driving down the field with a minute left down by 14 with a backdoor cover in his sights. Instead, let’s back Purdy to shine after the worst NFL game of his career.
The Vikings don’t have the bodies to cover both Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle, who should be uses as more of a receiver than a blocker tonight with Deebo out. These receivers are going to have a field day against one of the worst secondaries in football. Bet Purdy to throw more than 1.5 passing touchdowns tonight with a banged-up McCaffrey and no Deebo to hand the ball off to in the backfield. I’m expecting Mr. Irrelevant to ball-out after a rough Week 6.
