Buccaneers vs. Bills Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Josh Allen, Bills Right the Ship on TNF

The Buffalo Bills have fallen flat in recent weeks, and were one play away from dropping three straight games. Can Josh Allen right the ship for the offense on Thursday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Jason Radowitz breaks down the matchup with his Buccaneers vs. Bills pick.

Buccaneers vs. Bills Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Josh Allen, Bills Right the Ship on TNF

The Buffalo Bills have had a weird start to the season. While the Bills are fully expected to make it into the NFL Playoffs, the team is one loss away from returning to .500 midway through the season. They'll take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are just 3-3 on the year. The Bucs began the year 3-1 but have since dropped two straight road games to the Lions and Falcons. In those eight quarters, Tampa Bay added just 19 points. Can the Bills quickly forget about their loss against the Patriots and earn a Thursday win against the Bucs?

Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Thursday's game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Buffalo Bills.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Buffalo Bills Prediction

The Buffalo Bills have been super inconsistent this year. The once Super Bowl contenders have now lost two of their last three games and probably should've lost their 14-9 win against the Giants. The Bills have averaged 375.9 yards per game, with 263 yards in the air. However, Josh Allen has thrown 15 touchdowns and added seven interceptions in seven games. That's unacceptable for a quarterback of Allen's caliber. If Allen can protect the ball and make better reads, he'll be fine against Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers have a reliable pass rush, but it's nothing special. The same could be said about the secondary, that has allowed 262.5 yards per game in the air. On the other hand, the Bills' defense isn't so impressive either. They've allowed 351.7 yards per game, with 128.3 yards on the ground. The Bills continue to miss tackles at a high rate and aren't that great against the run. They've been better in the passing game, but it's been a poor showing from Buffalo on defense this year. Luckily for the Bills, the Buccaneers have added only 77.8 yards per game on the ground. If the Buccaneers struggled to get the run game moving, they'll struggle to get the scoreboard to move. Baker Mayfield has thrown for eight touchdowns and four interceptions while earning 1,363 yards. He's been fine. However, the run game's leading rusher is Rachaad White, with only 266 yards on the season. The Bucs have played in six games this season. White hasn't been horrendous. The offensive line has been. Therefore, let's take the Bills at -8.5 in this one.
