Patriots vs. Dolphins Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins Bounce Back Against the Patriots?

The Dolphins were 1-5 heading into Sunday when major news dropped. It was reported that the Patriots' head coach, Bill Belichick, quietly signed a lucrative deal to stay as the New England coach. Many NFL fans were up in arms, including Patriots fans. However, New England fans returned to their senses when Sunday was over. The Patriots earned a 29-25 win over the Buffalo Bills. Now, the Patriots will look to drag that momentum into Miami, where they'll take on the 5-2 Dolphins. Miami just lost to the Eagles on the road on Sunday Night Football. The offense scored 17 points and didn't look as good as it has throughout the season. Can the Patriots earn some stops against the Dolphins offense and claw their way to a victory?

New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins Prediction

Although the Patriots added 29 points last weekend, I don't want to get too hyped. The offense has only earned 308.1 yards per game, including just 85.4 yards on the ground. Mac Jones has played better, and he's been connected with offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien. They're bringing back plays from his college days, which has helped the offense improve. Still, the Dolphins have a reliable secondary. The team has allowed 256.3 yards per game in the air, but that's just because most teams are throwing the ball against the Dolphins late in the game. The secondary is solid, and the pass rush is effective. On the other hand, the Patriots' offensive line has been dreadful in pass protection. They've also struggled to block in the run game. That's part of the reason why Jones has seven interceptions on the year. Meanwhile, the leading rusher on the Patriots is Rhamondre Stevenson, who only has 268 yards on the ground this season. The offense is improving. But it's not back. On the other hand, Miami's offense is starting to fall a bit. The team only managed 17 points against the Eagles in a 31-17 loss. Let's not forget that the Dolphins have a tough schedule remaining this season. Still, Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins have earned 470.7 yards per game, with over 300 in the air. Tagovailoa has thrown for nearly 2,100 yards with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions of his own. He's got freak athletes like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, and that's helped the passing game develop as a whole. The Patriots have done well against the run defensively. However, the secondary has taken a step back. The pass rush is also super inconsistent. Look for Tagovailoa to connect with his receivers for big plays down the field in a double-digit win against the Patriots.
