5 minCarolina Panthers vs. Chicago Bears Same Game Parlay: Can Darnell Mooney, Bears Shine on TNF?
We are now in the second half of the NFL season with Week 10 starting tonight. Unfortunately, the week doesn't start off so great, as we have the Bears and Panthers playing in prime time. The Bears (2-7) and Panthers (1-7) have been two of the worst teams in the NFL this season, and this game is not one that a ton of NFL fans are looking forward to. However, we can still bet on it, and this +650 same-game parlay will make this game between two of the worst teams seem like the Super Bowl. This one is over at DraftKings since they have Marshall's props up.

Carolina Panthers vs. Chicago Bears Same Game Parlay
Leg One: Bears ML
While neither one of these teams is very good, the Bears seem better set-up to win. There is a long list of inactives for the already bad Panthers' defense, including starting linebacker Brian Burns and starting cornerback CJ Henderson. Safeties Vonn Bell and Xavier Woods are questionable as well.
The Bears' defense just got an upgrade on the line with Montez Sweat from Washington, and Chicago already had one of the best rushing defenses in the NFL. The Bears rank first overall against the run with 3.3 yards per carry allowed. The Bears' secondary can be a bit of an issue, but getting Eddie Jackson back is huge, and will help out back there.
Tyson Bagent is not very good, but is he worse than Bryce Young? From what I've seen, they are playing at a similar level so far. I would like it if Khalil Herbert was healthy, but Foreman isn't bad. The Bears are going to force Young into throws all night, and he can certainly make them pay, but we haven't seen him play at that elite level yet. Bagent has used his legs a lot to help him extend plays, and his connection with D.J. Moore is also increasing. The Bears are not a great team, but this is a game they should absolutely win.
Leg Two: Terrace Marshall Over 2.5 Receptions
Well, I just talked about how Bryce Young is gonna be forced to throw, so here is a Panthers reception prop. Sure, Thielen would be the obvious pick. He leads the Panthers in receiving yards by a mile. However, Young's second-favorite target, DJ Chark, is out tonight, which means Terrace Marshall will see some good action.
Marshall has done well in the backup role when he has to come in. In Week 1, Marshall played 90% of snaps in place of Chark. He had two receptions for 23 yards, but that was a horrible offensive game, and Bryce Young's first NFL start. That was an odd game where no offensive player had production.
Marshall then played 59% of snaps in Week 3, and 63% of snaps in Week 4 in place of an injured Jonathan Mingo. Marshall had eight targets for five receptions and 35 yards in Week 3, and 10 targets for nine receptions and 56 yards in Week 4.
The Bears' defense is excellent at taking away the run, and Carolina is a passing offense. Neither Hubbard nor Sanders have produced on the ground, leading to Young throwing on 63.4% of plays, which is the fourth-highest rate in the NFL. The Bears' secondary will surely look to take away Thielen in the passing game, which should open up opportunities for Mingo and Marshall tonight.
Leg Three: Bryce Young Over 21.5 Pass Completions
The segues between these legs are flowing perfectly, because the next one plays exactly into what I just said about the Carolina offense. They are throwing the ball...a lot. The offense is averaging 38.9 pass attempts per game, which is third in the NFL. They do not run the ball, which is good news, because the Bears can stop the run, especially with the addition of Montez Sweat. That means Young will be throwing those short completions all night.
Bryce Young has the shortest average yards per completion among NFL starters at 5.5 yards per completion. With short throws all night and little running, it's easy to see how Young could get to 22 completions quickly. The Bears are also 30th in opposing QB completion percentage at 70.3%, which is a testament to this secondary. Bryce Young has hit 22+ completions in every start since Week 1, which is six games in a row. He had 20 in Week 1, barely going under this number. 22 will be a breeze.
Leg Four: Darnell Mooney Over 29.5 Receiving Yards
Mooney has had 32+ receiving yards in four straight weeks. Notice a trend? Bagent has been under center for the last four weeks. That is no coincidence, as Mooney has become the deep threat. Mooney has had a pass of 38+ yards in three of his last four games, and we just need him to break off a 30-yarder to cash this last leg. I'm simply playing this number based on his usage with Bagent under center. They have a certain chemistry on those deep balls that have hit in all but one game. In that lone game that he didn't have a deep ball, he still had four receptions for 32 yards. 30 is very doable on just one ball for Mooney.
