Zach Wilson has been demoted to the No. 3 quarterback spot this week. Therefore, Tim Boyle will get the start for New York.
Boyle doesn't have good numbers in the NFL throughout his career. He didn't even have solid numbers as a college athlete. But the Jets hope his experience and poise can make a difference on Friday against the Dolphins.
The Jets are 4-6. A loss to the Dolphins would push them to 4-7, making it almost impossible to make the playoffs. However, a win would put the Jets a game away from .500 with the possibility that Aaron Rodgers will return in Week 16.

Dolphins vs. Jets Prediction
The Miami Dolphins typically dominate against below-average opponents. However, the Jets have one of the best defenses in the NFL.
If one team can stop this potent Dolphins offense, it's the Jets. New York has an incredible secondary and a respectable pass rush. Maybe they don't lead the league in sacks, but they always create chaos and force mistakes.
However, the Jets have still allowed 137.6 yards on the ground. The run game is where the Dolphins can exploit the Jets.
It's unclear if DeVon Achane will play with a knee injury. But Raheem Mostert will be available. He's rushed for 691 yards and 11 touchdowns on 131 carries this season. Mostert has been one of the most impactful players on this team.
He'll find some running room.
However, Tua Tagovailoa isn't always the quickest in the pocket. His footwork is maybe slower than others, and he's sometimes too patient in the pocket. That won't help against the Jets' defense.
On the other hand, Tim Boyle will get the start for the Jets. Boyle has had no prior success in the NFL. He's thrown three touchdowns and nine interceptions since he began his career in 2019.
He's likely not the best option that the Jets have. It's probably Zach Wilson. But New York had to switch to shake things up and see what would happen.
If receivers can't get open and the run game has no holes to run the football, the offense isn't going to work.
Miami's secondary has improved since Jalen Ramsey returned. The pass rush is also electric for the Dolphins.
Don't expect the Jets to become some powerhouse offense with Boyle under center. They've got a lot of areas to fix up, and a short week won't help them patch things up.
Therefore, I'll ride the Under 41 in this game. No Jets game should ever hang a 40 or higher. The offense can't score touchdowns!
