Packers vs. Lions Prediction

The Detroit Lions have typically been good defensively this season. However, the Lions have allowed 64 points in the last two games.

Detroit's offense added 72 points and earned wins in both of those games. But the defense hasn't been as good as advertised recently.

However, the Lions will take on a Packers offense that only averages 20.2 points per game behind Jordan Love. Love and the Packers have added just 319.6 yards per game this season. Only 102.1 yards are coming on the ground.

But with Aaron Jones likely out for this game, the Packers will have to roll with A.J. Dillon in the run game. That's not ideal, especially since the Lions have allowed only 89.5 yards per game on the ground this season.

Meanwhile, the Packers have been awful against the run, giving up 134.7 yards per game. With Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery healthy, the Lions have a lot of potential to rush the football moving forward.

Detroit has already added 136.6 yards per game running the football. But that number will likely increase against the Packers. Jared Goff struggled to throw the ball last weekend. Therefore, the Lions will want to rush the football even more frequently as long as they're gaining solid yardage throughout.

I think they will.

Let's back the Lions to cover the 7.5-point spread at home. Detroit should rebound defensively against a Packers team that has been super inconsistent on offense.
