The Lions are coming off an amazing comeback win against the Bears to improve to 8-2 on the season as they cement themselves as one of the best teams in the NFC. The Packers are coming off a home win against the Chargers in a close game they nearly lost before Quentin Johnston dropped a game-winning touchdown. The Packers moved to 4-6 on the season and Jordan Love has been impressed further as he has worked into his first season as the starter in Green Bay. The Packers are sizeable 7.5-point underdogs as they travel to Detroit on Turkey Day. Can Jordan Love keep it close?

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions Prediction
Jordan Love started his first year in the post-Rodgers era 2-1. He hit a bit of a rough path the next four games, but he has been looking good once again the last few weeks. On the season, he has 2,331 passing yards with a 59.7% completion rate and 16 touchdowns with 10 picks. He is throwing 233.1 yards per game on average, which is right in line with his line today, which is set at 230.5 on FanDuel.
The way I see this game playing out is a lot of offense. The Packer's defense has been average, but the Lion's offense has been explosive when both Montgomery and Gibbs are healthy in the backfield and the receiving corps is all healthy. That is the case today, and I expect short and explosive scoring drives from the Lions today. Of course, they are -8.5 on the spread, so they are expected to win pretty easily. That means Love will have to throw the ball in a negative game script to try and keep up.
Aaron Jones has already been ruled out, and AJ Dillon is questionable but expected to play through a groin injury. Emmanuel Wilson is on the IR, so if Dillon isn't 100% healthy, even if he does play and is limited, the Packers are very thin at running back. That means Love has to make up for it through the air, and we've seen him do it this season. Love has surpassed 230.5 passing yards in five of his ten games. He had 289 two games ago against the Steelers and 322 yards against the Chargers last week, which was his career-high. I think Love is really starting to get more comfortable in the pocket and is building a stronger connection with his young receiving corps as they work into the NFL themselves. Love hitting over 300 yards last week gives me all the confidence to back him to hit 231 in a negative game script today in a game he will have to throw the ball a lot.
