San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks Prediction
This is a significant game to decide who will win the NFC West.
San Francisco will begin play with a record of 7-3, giving them a one-game lead over the Seahawks for first place in the West.
The Niners have won two consecutive games after a three-game losing streak.
Brock Purdy leads this San Francisco offense. The former Iowa State Cyclone has thrown for 2,662 yards, 18 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Purdy is seen as a candidate to win league MVP.
Running back Christian McCaffery has been unstoppable this year. CMC has rushed for a touchdown in all but one game this year. He has 14 total touchdowns to lead the team.
Brandon Aiyuk has been the favorite target of Purdy. Aiyuk has taken over as the team's number-one receiver with 831 yards and four touchdowns.
The Niners' defense ranks first in scoring defense, allowing opponents 15.7 points per game.
Seattle will attempt to bounce back after a tough loss vs the Rams a week ago.
Seattle led for the majority of the game and had a chance to win at the end, but kicker Jayson Meyers missed a game-winning field goal.
Seattle will be in the playoffs if the season ended today with a 6-4 record.
A win would pull them into a tie with the 49ers for first place in the West.
Geno Smith won NFL Comeback Player of the Year a season ago. Smith has been solid this year, throwing for 2,404 yards, 12 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
Seattle will be without their starting running back, Kenneth Walker III.
That will force rookie Zach Charbonnet into service. The rookie has rushed for 261 yards this season.
DK Metcalf has been the top target of Smith. Metcalf has racked up a team-best 646 yards.
Veteran Tyler Lockett leads the team with four receiving touchdowns.
The Seahawks defense ranks 19th in points allowed per game (21.8).
San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks Pick
San Francisco should dominate this game on both sides of the ball.
This is a tough spot for Seattle.
Geno Smith was banged up on Sunday and did not play much in the second of that game.
If Smith does play, he will not be one hundred percent, which will limit this Seahawks offense.
Additionally, Seattle will be without Walker, who is a huge part of their offense.
The Seattle defense is not good enough to hold serve in this game.
San Francisco will win this game by seven or more.
