The 7-3 Dolphins currently sit atop the AFC East and look in good shape on their way to a playoff appearance, with the Bills faltering. The Jets still have a fighting chance at a wild card spot, but at 4-6, it is an uphill battle with one of the worst offenses in the league. The spread is large, as expected, at 9.5 points in favor of the Dolphins. The total is also very low at a measly 40.5 points. What is the best bet for this lone Black Friday game?

Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets Prediction
Yesterday, all three Thanksgiving games went over the total. The night game barely got there, but the Lions/Packers game and Cowboys/Commanders game both went over by multiple points. After all the high-scoring action yesterday, I think we will see a much lower-scoring game today. This game features one of the lower totals on the slate in Week 12, and for good reason.
The Jets are a mess...on offense. The team looks completely lost, and Zach Wilson has now been benched for Tim Boyle. Not only was Zach benched, but he is listed as the third-stringer behind Trevor Semien as well. The Jets' offense ranks 30th in the league with 15 points scored per game. Of course, not everything can be blamed on Zach Wilson, as his offensive line has given him no help. Due to all the injuries, the offensive line is 30th in sacks allowed per game. The line has not been able to get healthy, as they have three guys on the IR, and two are questionable entering today's game. It's a mess on the line, and no matter who you put under center, it's just a bad situation. Because of the line issues, Breece Hall can't even get going because he doesn't have the adequate blocks and holes to run through. This offense just stinks. There's no other way to put it.
The Dolphins defense is also peaking right now. Jalen Ramsey has made an immediate impact in the secondary since returning from injury. The Dolphins started the season with a shaky defense, but the defensive line is generating more pressures than ever, thanks to Bradley Chubb. Meanwhile, Jalen Ramsey and Jevon Holland have been holding down the secondary. This defense is coming off one of their best weeks, allowing just 13 points to the Raiders, and they should have a similar performance against the broken Jets today.
The Jets obviously have a very good defense. It's the only reason they are even 4-6 instead of 1-9, honestly. The Jets may have the most well-balanced defense in the league, from the line to the linebackers to the cornerbacks and safeties, they really don't have a true weak spot. While the Dolphins have an explosive and scary offense, there are a few elite defenses that can slow them down, and I believe the Jets are one of them.
I don't expect the Jets to score a lot, and the Dolphins should cover the number, but I love teasing this line to help out with a few points on the under as well. Yesterday, we saw the Cowboys pull away but continue to score, and I like teasing this number just in case the Dolphins hang some late points, similar to the Cowboys game. If you can't tease on your book, just play the alternate line. On FanDuel, taking the alternate -3.5 spread and under 47.5 is -133, and that is my favorite play in this game.
