Thursday Night Football features a rare matchup of two teams that play on Thursday but have a full week off coming into the game, as both the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks played on Thanksgiving last Thursday. Tonight, the Cowboys try to beat their first above .500 team this season, while the Seahawks try to wash the taste of the rout from Thanksgiving against the San Francisco 49ers. I have a same-game parlay for tonight that I love at near 7/1 odds.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks Same Game Parlay
Leg 1: Seahawks +9.5
The Seahawks are coming off a drubbing against the 49ers, while the Cowboys are coming off another blowout win. It would be easy to think the Cowboys can replicate the 49ers' success, but nine-and-a-half points are still a lot in the NFL. The Seahawks could be down 16 and score last to back door cover even. While that would be much sweatier than I like for my plays, it's still not 'easy' to blow teams out in the modern NFL.
Also, the Cowboys have yet to beat an above .500 team. Last week, they beat up on the then 4-7 Commanders, who traded away their two best defenders and essentially sold on the season at the deadline. That's how most of their dominant wins have come this season - against sorry teams whose seasons are already over at this point. Their closest to beating an above .500 team at the time was the Chargers, and they won that game 20-17. They got beat both times they played above .500 teams. While the Cowboys are certainly a good team, I just can't help but see that a lot of their stats are padded by beating up on bad teams, like the Giants, Jets, Panthers, Patriots, and Commanders. Their schedule has been very easy, and I don't see a blowout being probable here.
Leg 2: Tyler Lockett 50+ Alternate Receiving Yards
Lockett has a good matchup to hit 50+ yards tonight, something he has done in 6 of his 11 games this year. Lockett splits where he lines up quite a bit, but he will likely avoid Daron Bland for most of the night, who is the best cornerback for the Cowboys, and just set the record for most pick-sixes in a season on Thanksgiving last week. The Seahawks want to avoid him so that probably nixes whoever lines up against him for most plays tonight, and luckily, that does not include Locket (that much). D.K. Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba will have much more difficult matchups tonight.
Lockett is averaging 52 receiving yards per game this season, and his line is lower because of the defense they are facing, but without Kenneth Walker, Geno Smith will be throwing a lot in this game. I expect a pass-heavy game script from both teams and more pass plays mean more targets for the trusty Lockett.
Leg 3: Brandin Cooks 50+ Alternate Receiving Yards
Another 50+ alternate line here. This line feels insane for the man who has become the clear WR2 in this offense. Brandin Cooks had a slower start to the season as he warmed up in this offense. Cooks did not pass 40 receiving yards over his first five games with the Cowboys, but since then, He has hit 40+ receiving yards in all but one game. He is now second on the team in receiving yards behind CeeDee Lamb.
Cooks and the Cowboys offense have a good matchup against a somewhat leaky Seahawk's secondary that is giving up 175 receiving yards to wide receivers per game. While CeeDee Lamb is expected to do well again tonight, I expect Devon Witherspoon to be on Lamb for most of the night, who is far and away the best cornerback for the Seahawks and one of the best rookie secondary defenders in the league. With so much attention on Lamb, Cooks has big play ability and only needs to rip one big play with a few other short routes to hit 50 receiving yards. At +148, that seems easy.
