Thursday Night Football Prediction: Can Geno Smith, Seahawks Put Up Points Against the Cowboys Defense on TNF?

The Seattle Seahawks likely won’t have an opportunity to win their division, but they are right in the heart of a playoff race as they enter this match up with a record of 6-5. Seattle has had a very up and down season to this point as they started 5-2 and have since gone 1-3 and things do not get any easier for them tonight against a Dallas Cowboys team who has been a juggernaut at home.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys Prediction
One thing that concerns me with Seattle is their inability to generate offense on the road. In their last three road games against playoff caliber teams, they were only able to score three against the Baltimore Ravens, 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and 16 against the Los Angeles Rams (who probably aren’t even a playoff team).
In those three games, Geno Smith was sacked a total of ten times as their pass protection has been a huge issue for a majority of the season. Geno Smith does not have great numbers under pressure so far this season and will likely be under pressure for a majority of this game and I do not see how Seattle moves the ball consistently.
In Dallas’ home games this season, they have allowed ten, three, 20, 17, and ten points for an average of 12 points allowed per game in Jerry World to this point. The Cowboys were in a fairly tight and low scoring game against Washington last week until some turnovers and fourth quarter explosive plays blew that game open.
I think the Cowboys turnover luck is bound for some negative regression but I also do not see Seattle putting together a ton of long scoring drives. With that being said, I am rolling with the Full Game Under 47.5 at -106 for 1U as my most confident NFL play of the day for tonight’s action as I think this will be a lower scoring game than some people may anticipate.
