Jahmyr Gibbs has cleared his longest rush prop in five consecutive games and seven of nine games this season. Since David Montgomery sat out a few games because of injury, Gibbs has handled more touches. The increase in rushing attempts makes the rookie running back an even bigger threat in the Lions offense, since his elite explosiveness makes him capable of breaking off whenever the football is in his hands.
The offensive line he is running behind also makes him dangerous as the Lions rank 4th in rushing DVOA. They will have the upper hand this week as they matchup against a Saints defense that ranks 22nd in rushing DVOA. Over the last seven games, New Orleans has allowed a 13+ yard run to 8 different running backs.
Gibbs is next in line to do so as well which is why I’m taking the over on his longest rush prop.
