Monday Night Football Prediction: Can Jake Browning, Bengals Keep This MNF Game Close?
Last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers was the first game for the Cincinnati Bengals without Joe Burrow, and it did not go well as Cincinnati barely put up over 200 yards of offense. How will they fare tonight? Let’s break it down.

Tonight on Monday Night Football the Cincinnati Bengals travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars, who are one of the hottest teams in the NFL at the moment. The Jaguars come into this match up with a record of 8-3 and have won seven of their last eight games with their only loss coming to the San Francisco 49ers during this current eight game stretch.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction
The Jaguars have been getting it done with a very potent offense as Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne, and Doug Pederson have this Jaguars offene humming lately. Other than their game against the 49ers, who have one of the best defenses in the NFL, the Jaguars have scored at least 20 points in every game since October 1st and they are coming off a very impressive road win against the Texans last week.
While these two teams seem to be heading in different directions, I do believe the Bengals offense will play much better than they did against Pittsburgh now that Jake Browning has another full week to prepare for this game. I also think the Jaguars may be due for a bit of negative regression as they were lucky to escape Houston with a win last week and have been playing a lot of close games this season. I also have this feeling that the Bengals defense is going to step up to another level, knowing that they have to play extremely well to keep this game close considering that the Bengals offense is nowhere near as potent with Jake Browning at the helm, compared to Joe Burrow.
The Bengals enter this matchup on a current three game losing streak, and are in a bit of a weird spot, as they are still technically in the playoff picture, but are not really considered a contender now that Joe Burrow is out for the season. This could be one of those weird games where Cincinnati jumps out to an early lead and then the Jacksonville’s talent just shines through as they take control in the second half.
Favorites have been winning a lot in the NFL over the last few weeks but I do expect this game to be closer than most people expect and I do not expect the Bengals to be embarrassed on primetime tonight. With that being said, I am rolling with Bengals +10.5 at -115 for 1U as my most confident NFL play of the day for tonight’s action.
