Keaton Mitchell is an undrafted rookie out of East Carolina who is the definition of explosive. At the combine, Mitchell clocked a 4.3 second 40-yard dash and has flashed that speed every time he’s been given an opportunity this season. He’s averaging 9.3 yards per carry on 29 attempts with runs of 30, 40, 60, 21, and 29 yards.

Last week, the Ravens made it clear they want Mitchell to be more involved in their offense. In an important game in the AFC race, he got the start and led the backfield in snaps plus total touches. He produced 64 rushing yards on nine attempts and I expect his role to continue to grow down as we get closer to the postseason.
The Ravens are coming off their bye week so they’ve had plenty of time to scheme up more ways to utilize the rookie running back’s explosiveness. Opportunity is the only thing holding back Keaton Mitchell back from putting up massive numbers. I expect him to lead the Ravens backfield once again this week which is why I’m taking the over on his total rushing yards.
