Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Prediction
The Chargers lost their last game against the Broncos, ending their chances of being a playoff team.
The game loss was the least of their worries as it was announced that Justin Herbert would miss the rest of the season.
The injury to Hebert kills this team, as he is one of the best young quarterbacks in football.
As if the Herbet injury was not bad enough, the Chargers announced that star wide receiver Keenan Allen would miss tonight’s game.
Allen ranks fourth in football in receiving yards.
The team will need to rely heavily on Austin Eckler. Eckler has struggled with injuries at times this year, and when he has been on the field, he has shown some signs of slowing down.
Easton Stick will be the man responsible for taking down this Raiders defense. The former North Dakota State signal caller will have a tall task ahead of him tonight.
The Chargers will need their defensive unit to put together a good game, as offense could be an issue tonight.
The Raiders come into play with a 5-8 record.
Las Vegas has struggled offensively as of late.
The team has turned to rookie Aidan O’Connell, who has been up and down this season.
The Raiders will likely be without their star running back Josh Jacobs.
That will force other guys to step up tonight.
One of those guys will be Davante Adams. Adams has delivered a strong season despite not having the greatest quarterback play.
The Raiders' defense has been a pleasant surprise as they rank ninth in points allowed per game.
Let’s dive into my prop lock of the night.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Player Prop
Quentin Johnston has been disappointing in his rookie campaign, but this is a great spot for him tonight.
Without Allen on the field, Johnston becomes the team's number one.
Johnston has had extremely high usage, as he played in 88% of snaps a week ago.
Johnston ranks second in snap counts at the wide receiver position this season.
In a negative game script, Johnston should fly over this number.
