Ravens Tyler Huntley

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction: Will Tyler Huntley, Ravens Ruin Steelers' Playoff Hopes?

The Baltimore Ravens are hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18, but it won't be the standard AFC North clash. The Ravens will be resting their stars after locking up the top seed, while the Steelers are fighting for their playoff lives. Can Tyler Huntley and the Ravens spoil the Steelers' season? Joey Ruiz answers with his Steelers vs. Ravens prediction.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction: Will Tyler Huntley, Ravens Ruin Steelers' Playoff Hopes?

The Ravens will likely be sitting many of their key players as they have clinched their spot as the No. 1 seed in the AFC, while the Steelers need to win and get some additional help to make the playoffs. Where is the edge? Let's break it down.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction

Lamar Jackson will likely end up being the MVP after his strong close to the season and also will likely see limited action in this game to not risk injury. On the other side, the Steelers need to win this game and also need additional help to get in the big dance, but all they can control is how they play in this game.

The Steelers have to travel to Baltimore which has been a very tough place to play this season for opposing teams, as the Ravens hold a record of 6-2 at home with their only losses coming in overtime to the Colts and a 2-point loss to Cleveland in which they blew a 14-point 4th quarter lead. The Ravens have been one of the most dominant teams in the NFL this season, as they have barely been tested in the second half of games. Baltimore will likely be sitting many of their key players as they already have their playoff seeding locked up, but I am not so sure that gives the Steelers a 3.5-point edge like they are being lined by the sportsbooks.

This game could end up being a glorified scrimmage for the Ravens and much like a preseason game, but here is the thing. The Ravens have been one of the most profitable and successful preseason teams in the league over the last 3-4 seasons, so I have a hunch that the Ravens won't simply lie down, especially at home. The Steelers have also played in more close games than anyone this season, and have been extremely inconsistent with a revolving door at quarterback.

The Steelers may win this game, but I highly doubt they win with any margin in Baltimore as they are just 1-1 as road favorites this season with their lone win coming over Jake Browning and the Bengals in what was Browning's first start after Joe Burrow went down. With that being said, I am rolling with Ravens +3.5 at -115 odds for 1.5 units as one of my most confident NFL plays of the day for today's action, as I believe the Ravens keep this game close or potentially win this game straight up.
